When to use it

Ways to move fast

  • A production line or a store is waiting for the freight.
  • A shipment missed its original move and has to catch up.
  • The delivery time matters more than the price of the move.
  • Expedited ground

A direct driver or a team, with no terminal transfers on the way.
  • Dedicated vehicle

A cargo van or straight truck for your freight alone.
  • Air expedite

The next suitable flight through air forwarding partners, with pickup and delivery by road.
  • Time-definite

A delivery window agreed in writing before pickup.

How a shipment runs

Step by step, with nothing off the record.

  1. Deadline first

Tell us when and where the freight has to be, then what it is.

  2. Options with times

Each option comes with its expected delivery time and what could change it.

  3. Dispatch

The carrier and vehicle are named. Pickup is confirmed with the shipping location.

  4. Live updates

Milestones as they happen, from a named contact you can call.

  5. Delivery and proof

Signature, time and place on the record.

What the record shows

  1. Order created

The shipment is on the record: origin, destination, freight details and requested dates.

  2. Pickup scheduled

A pickup window is confirmed with the shipping location, and the carrier is named.

  3. Driver assigned

The carrier has named the driver and the equipment for the pickup, so the shipper can check both at the dock.

  4. Picked up

The freight is loaded and the carrier has signed for it. Custody passes from the shipper to the carrier.

  5. Origin hub

The freight is at the carrier terminal, cargo gateway or port where it is consolidated or accepted for the main leg.

  6. In transit

The main leg is under way, with position or status updates along the route and any exception reported with its cause.

  7. Customs processing

A licensed customs broker has the entry in hand: documents checked, declaration filed, release awaited.

  8. Destination hub

The freight is at the last terminal or gateway before the delivery address, released for the final leg.

  9. Out for delivery

The freight is on the delivery vehicle, with a delivery window or appointment.

  10. Delivered

The consignee has signed for the freight. Custody passes to the consignee and proof of delivery goes on the record.

Documents

The paperwork, and what each document is for.

Every document is attached to the shipment record, so nobody has to ask for it twice.

  • Bill of lading

The receipt and contract of carriage for the ground move.
  • Air waybill

The same for the flight, when the shipment goes by air.
  • Proof of delivery

Signed at the door, with the time.

Responsibilities

Who does what.

A shipment passes through several hands. Each stage has one party responsible for it, and the record names that party.

Our role

How this service is delivered.

Express and time-critical service is planned for the launch markets and will be provided through partner carriers once ErisWorlds' registrations are active.

Before this service opens

  • An active federal property broker registration and its bond.
  • Expedite carriers onboarded in the launch markets.
  • For air options, a signed air forwarding partner.

Registrations, insurance and the carrier standard are published in the trust center as each one is verified.
