Programs
For companies whose freight needs a plan, not a single shipment.
Which service do I need?
Start from your situation.
Six situations people arrive with, and where each one leads.
That is LTL: your pallets share a trailer and you pay for the space they take. Above about six pallets, compare a partial or a full truckload.
Start from the deadline. Express compares a direct driver, a dedicated vehicle and the next flight, each with its expected delivery time.
Read the international shipping guide first: sale terms, documents and who clears customs. Then choose air for days or ocean for cost.
Cross-border freight changes carriers at the border and needs a customs broker on each side. One record covers both legs.
Warehousing holds pallets and releases them on your instruction. Fulfillment picks, packs and ships individual orders from that stock.
Last-mile delivery gives the recipient a window and gives you a signature, a time and a place for every drop.
How every service works
Whatever the mode, the record is the same.
A shipment is planned, handed over, moved and delivered. Each of those moments is written down where you can see it.
One record per shipment
Ten milestones from order to proof of delivery, each with a time, a place and a status.Custody with a name
At every hand-off the record says which party holds the freight.Documents in one place
Bill of lading, customs paperwork, proof of delivery and invoice, attached to the shipment.A person to call
A named contact for each shipment, reachable by phone when plans change.
The ten milestones
- Order created
The shipment is on the record: origin, destination, freight details and requested dates.
- Pickup scheduled
A pickup window is confirmed with the shipping location, and the carrier is named.
- Driver assigned
The carrier has named the driver and the equipment for the pickup, so the shipper can check both at the dock.
- Picked up
The freight is loaded and the carrier has signed for it. Custody passes from the shipper to the carrier.
- Origin hub
The freight is at the carrier terminal, cargo gateway or port where it is consolidated or accepted for the main leg.
- In transit
The main leg is under way, with position or status updates along the route and any exception reported with its cause.
- Customs processing
A licensed customs broker has the entry in hand: documents checked, declaration filed, release awaited.
- Destination hub
The freight is at the last terminal or gateway before the delivery address, released for the final leg.
- Out for delivery
The freight is on the delivery vehicle, with a delivery window or appointment.
- Delivered
The consignee has signed for the freight. Custody passes to the consignee and proof of delivery goes on the record.
